Professional Summary
I aspire to be working for a company that puts every effort into promoting unheard voices. This has always been a goal of mine, and a reason as to why I want to be involved in the advertising industry. Advertisements have the power to become subliminal messages in our brains, and as a product of this, they can take precedent in initiating change and celebrating diversity. I am passionate about creating content that is bold, fresh, exciting, and impactful.
Digital Marketer at GradSmart
I was responsible for managing GradSmart’s social media accounts (Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook); I also created social copy and blog posts, edited their podcasts, and created videos on career advice. I have been responsible for some of the company’s most integral pieces of social copy, advertising their new personality test, and creating advice and help for students. This role is giving me skills using InDesign, Photoshop, and Canva, as well as confidently being able to use management software such as Notion.

I have consistently worked in restaurants throughout my time at university, demonstrating my excellent ability to manage my time efficiently, as well as my exceptional customer service experience. Nutmeg taught me how to handle the pressures of a fast-moving environment and how to work well within a team. I had to keep up to date with varying menus and wine lists, which also demonstrates my ability to adapt to changes, as well as my experience in promoting a specific brand and product.
2016-2019

I was a committed member of the News Team for two years, creating weekly podcasts using Audacity and a voice recording app; I also co-presented a weekly show and provided news bulletins for shows on popular culture. I became a keen interviewer and researcher for the News Team, demonstrating my eagerness to explore new projects and meet new people; I then acquired my own radio show entitled ‘Girls on Film’, a light-hearted take on the latest controversies in film and television, the highs and lows, my picks of the week and more.

Interests
I aim to produce content that prioritises unheard voices, I want to enlighten and educate audiences. I co-created a film that challenged the misconceptions of female sexuality; I also individually pitched a documentary proposal on the misconceptions of ‘clean’ eating, prioritising the voices of members of the BEAT society.
I have excellent presentation and speaking skills, and can use PowerPoint and Prezi to articulate my ideas; I can also confidently use Adobe Premier Pro to create and edit film.
I took on a leading role as the producer of my group documentary portrait which demonstrated my exceptional production skills, impeccable organisational skills, and my ability to take initiative.
I believe that social media has had an immense impact on the way we view people, products, and brands; my dissertation was based on how reality stars have redefined celebrity culture; I spent a vast amount of time researching Influencer and social media culture.
I am keen to learn new skills; I have since completed LinkedIn learning courses regarding the latest social media marketing trends and tools, while also discovering the basics of using InDesign.
2016-2019
Achieved a 2:1 in my English BA,
The University of Bristol
Exemplary analytical and research skills in both literature and film, my ‘Celebrity Cultures’, ‘American Revolutions’, and ‘Women Writers’ modules relied on a range of digital media.
I can confidently use all areas of media to support and develop an argument and can apply own ideas to areas of critical thinking; the above modules required the individual creation of a portfolio; I combined critical and creative writing skills to write a meditation on Freddie Mercury and the film Bohemian Rhapsody.
Can confidently use Word, Excel, as well as blog sites such as blogspot.com and WordPress.
I have been lucky enough to develop my research skills while exploring subjects that matter to me, my dissertation, for example, was concerned with how fictional novels have depicted women’s mental health.
I love to cook and try new things. I am a big fan of Michaela Coel's writing, and enjoy wrapping up and going for cold winter walks.
